Breaking News:QUEENSLAND'S flood heroes will be remembered across the state in a week of celebrations this June,
Premier Anna Bligh says.
Ms Bligh said a special commemorative medal would be cast and a series of events would be held in flood-hit communities during
Queensland Week, from
June 4 to
13.Communities would nominate their own heroes, she said.
"We will recognise everyone who played a role during this crisis and who is playing a role during the recovery," she said.
