Breaking News:EMERGENCY crews have contained a fuel spill from a petrol tanker that rolled over in a
southern Brisbane suburb.The tanker, carrying
32,000 litres of fuel, tipped over at
Hillcrest about
6.20am (AEST) today, rupturing the tank and spilling about
15,000 litres of diesel and unleaded petrol.Police closed the
Mt Lindesay Highway and adjoining
Middle Road at Hillcrest.Authorities set up a
500-metre exclusion zone and businesses and residents in
Blackwell Street and
Anzac Avenue were evacuated from the immediate area.
